Cass County Dental Clinic

Leslie Garcia-Guzman

Lesie Garcia-Guzman

When Leslie Garcia-Guzman visits Cass County Dental Clinic, she speaks Spanish with staff members. The clinic’s front desk coordinator, Yenny, greets her in Spanish and one of the clinic’s dental assistants, Cesar, can provide care while speaking Spanish.

“Son muy amables.” Leslie describes her interactions with clinic staff and says they are very kind to her.

Cass County Dental Clinic strives to provide culturally relevant care to all our patients. Communicating with Spanish speakers in their native language reduces barriers to dental care. It allows children to recognize their role in improved oral health and creates an environment where they feel understood. This is imperative for a dental clinic that families can call home.

“Gusta que tienen muy buen atención buen servicio.” Leslie credits the clinic with great service and care.

At the clinic, we believe Spanish-speaking families should be able to easily communicate with their providers. Cass County Dental Clinic will continue to hire bilingual staff members so patients like Leslie receive the dental care they deserve.

Cass County Dental Clinic, a program of Cass Community Health Foundation, is a nonprofit clinic that provides dental services to children, adolescents, and pregnant people who lack access to quality dental care. Patients can schedule appointments Monday through Friday in Belton, Missouri as well as Tuesday and Wednesday in Harrisonville, Missouri.
