BELTON, Mo., (Jul. 19, 2021) – Cass Community Health Foundation’s safety net dental clinic, Cass County Dental Clinic, will host a patient appreciation celebration in honor of its 10th anniversary. Current Cass County Dental Clinic patients are invited to the Belton clinic located at 802 E. Walnut from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, August 4. Families will drive through the clinic parking lot and receive free dental supplies, a take-home craft, and ice cream.
The drive-thru patient appreciation event is part of the clinic’s fundraising and awareness campaign, Cass County Dental Clinic’s 10th Anniversary Celebration: A Dental Home for a Decade. The campaign launched in early July and gives community members an opportunity to raise money for the future of the clinic and learn more about the services it provides.
Cass Community Health Foundation’s Cass County Dental Clinic was established as Cass County Missouri’s, first safety net dental clinic in 2011. The first location opened in Belton with a second location opening in Harrisonville in 2015. The clinic serves thousands of low-income children and teens each year. Since its opening 10 years ago, more than 10,000 patients have walked through its doors and been welcomed into their dental home.
“Cass County Dental Clinic patients and their families are the foundation of our dental home,” Katie Schroeder, Cass Community Health Foundation director of dental programs said. “Each child that walks through our doors is considered an important member of our dental family and provides an opportunity for us to create a healthier Cass County. We look forward to celebrating a decade of lasting relationships and improved oral health with patients and their families on August 4.”
