BELTON, Mo., (Nov. 15, 2022) – Cass County residents can save the day on Giving Tuesday. Cass Community Health Foundation has set a goal of raising $2,000 for its safety net dental clinic, Cass County Dental Clinic, on Tuesday, Nov. 29.
Cass Community Health Foundation’s Giving Tuesday campaign is superhero themed, giving community members an opportunity to become “heroes” for kids in Cass County. Donations to the foundation will help children in Cass County and the surrounding area grow up with strong smiles. Every dollar donated will support Cass County Dental Clinic and provide oral health services to children who need it most.
Cass Community Health Foundation established Cass County Dental Clinic to serve as the county’s first safety net dental clinic in 2011. The first location opened in Belton with a second location opening in Harrisonville in 2015. Each year, the clinic serves thousands of children and teens from families that would otherwise struggle to afford dental services. Since its opening, more than 10,000 patients have made it their dental home.
“We are excited to celebrate Giving Tuesday this year and invite Cass County community members to become superheroes to our patients at Cass County Dental Clinic,” Cynthia Randazzo, Cass Community Health Foundation president, said. “Donating to our $2,000 Giving Tuesday fundraising goal is an easy way to support the health and wellbeing of our community’s children.”
Those interested in donating can opt to play different “superheroes” roles by donating at different levels. “Dental Demigods” can donate $1,000 to cover operating expenses. “Tooth Titans” can donate at the $500 level to help the clinic purchase dental hand pieces. “Cavity Crushers” can donate $250 for filling materials. “Smile Savers” can donate $100 for sealants, “Fluoride Fairies” can donate $50 for fluoride varnish, and “Plaque Preventers” can donate $25 to purchase home dental supplies. Donors can also opt to donate a custom amount.
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on Nov. 29, 2022, and throughout the year.
