Who We Treat

Smile Squad

Iverson

Iverson, an 8-year-old from Grandview, Missouri, has been visiting the clinic since 2023. Like many young patients, his first appointments came with a bit of dental anxiety. During his early visits, Iverson needed extra support, including nitrous oxide, to help him stay comfortable while receiving treatment.

Over the past year, Iverson’s confidence has grown significantly. He now sits calmly through his appointments and has gone an entire year without any new tooth decay, a major milestone for any young patient.

His improvement highlights an important part of pediatric dental care: helping children feel safe and supported so they can develop lifelong healthy habits.

Iverson’s mom, Dora, says the clinic staff are always friendly, taking time to answer questions.

“The Cass County Dental Clinic staff are very patient. My son always receives great care, and the treatment is explained to us,” Dora said.

Along the way, they’ve also learned more about the importance of daily brushing, flossing, and healthy diet choices—key factors in preventing cavities.

These lessons don’t just improve dental visits; they help build lifelong oral health routines. Iverson’s story reflects the mission of Cass County Dental Clinic: ensuring children and families have access to compassionate care close to home. From overcoming dental anxiety to maintaining a cavity-free year, Iverson’s progress shows what’s possible when families and providers work together.

We’re proud to celebrate Iverson as part of our Smile Squad and look forward to seeing his confidence—and his smile—continue to grow.
