At Cass County Dental Clinic, some of our proudest moments happen with patience. Deacon, a 10-year-old who has been treated at our Belton location, recently took a big step forward in his dental journey thanks to the staff’s understanding of individualized care.
Deacon has faced challenges when it comes to dental visits. Before coming to Cass County Dental Clinic, he visited three other dental offices but was unable to complete his appointments. For Deacon, visiting the dentist can be overwhelming, and finding a dental team that could take the time to understand his needs was especially important.
After Deacon’s second visit to Cass County Dental Clinic, his trust in our team grew. For the first time in his dental history, Deacon was able to work through some of his fears. He successfully completed his first set of X-rays and his first full cleaning — a milestone for a child who has experienced difficulties in the dental chair.
“I’m very pleased that my grandson was accepting of treatment for the first time,” Dana, his grandmother, shared.
Dana praised the Cass County Dental Clinic team for being welcoming, patient and understanding. She is thrilled to see Deacon become comfortable enough to accept dental care and complete his cleaning and X-rays.
“I’m so proud to know that there were no major dental concerns for Deacon,” said Dana.
Every child experiences dental visits differently, and sometimes progress happens step by step. For children who may need more time to feel comfortable, building trust can make all the difference. Watching Deacon move from uncertainty to confidence at the dentist is a wonderful reminder of why compassionate, individualized care matters.
